Electrical Safety - IR Scanning
Managing electrical compliance at work is complicated. We need to manage the safety of our people and the equipment. One of the leading causes of equipment failures and industrial is electrical failures. NFPA 70B has provided guidance on the management of electrical equipment. An important activity to rely on for equipment maintenance is conducting annual IR Scanning of your equipment. Benefits of Infrared Scanning? 1. You can measure heat from electrical components during normal operations — so you get real-life data. 2. You can identify areas of overheating before they become problems — to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently. 3. It is a non-invasive test that does not require equipment to be shut down and does not require any contact to be made with electrical components. It is a safety check with the least hazardous options.

Powered Industrial Lift Trucks – Top 10 Keys to Safety
Powered Industrial Lift Trucks (commonly referred to as forklifts) are often included on OSHA’s annual Top Ten Most Frequently Cited Regulations. Just look at the latest workplace statistics and you can see why forklift safety is a critical part of any workplace safety program for those companies that have employees that operate forklifts:

• There are around 35,000 to 62,000 injuries every year related to forklifts.
• On average, there are 87 deaths per year due to forklift accidents.
• Approximately 42% of all fatal forklift accidents involve being crushed by the vehicle when it’s tipping over.

Due to their ability to move very heavy material with ease and precision, forklifts are a very commonly used piece of equipment at most companies. At the same time, forklifts themselves are also extremely powerful and heavy vehicles, which can create an inherent risk for companies that don’t take their safe operation seriously. This webcast will focus on the top 10 keys to operating forklifts safely, as well as some tips/guidelines for creating a robust forklift safety program at your company.

Noise Reduction In the Workplace
Excessive noise exposure is present in many industrial settings due to a variety of factors such as the operation of equipment or general manufacturing processes. The “CDC estimates that 22 million workers are exposed to potentially damaging noise at work each year”, putting the concern for employee exposure in the workplace at an all-time high. Employers must be diligent by identifying noise exposure hazards and determining employee exposure through noise dosimetry testing. If employees are exposed to levels above OSHA’s Action level, the employer must control or reduce noise hazards in the workplace by using the hierarchy of controls. In this webinar, we will discuss how to determine if noise control or reduction is needed as well as the implementation of the hierarchy of controls.
