The Comprehensive Fiscal Impact of Workers Compensation Injuries

What's In This Webinar?

Understanding the comprehensive fiscal impact of Workers’ Compensation injuries on a business is critical for understanding the true financial losses when an injury occurs. Personnel well-being and soft impacts (morale, quality of work, etc.) aside, the fiscal implications from injuries can dramatically affect a business’ bottom line, and personnel managing the injury process often do not monitor or track the related costs outside of Workers’ Compensation dollars. This webinar will discuss additional metrics that should be tracked to paint the full picture of the financial impacts of an injury and how to find and track that information.

Noise Reduction In the Workplace
Excessive noise exposure is present in many industrial settings due to a variety of factors such as the operation of equipment or general manufacturing processes. The “CDC estimates that 22 million workers are exposed to potentially damaging noise at work each year”, putting the concern for employee exposure in the workplace at an all-time high. Employers must be diligent by identifying noise exposure hazards and determining employee exposure through noise dosimetry testing. If employees are exposed to levels above OSHA’s Action level, the employer must control or reduce noise hazards in the workplace by using the hierarchy of controls. In this webinar, we will discuss how to determine if noise control or reduction is needed as well as the implementation of the hierarchy of controls.

OSHA Injury Tracking Application - Are You Ready to Report Required Information
OSHA's Final Rule on "Improving the Tracking of Workplace Injuries and Illnesses" is now in its 7th year. As per the requirements of the rule, your establishment, based on its size and NAICS code, is obligated to electronically submit the 2023 300A Log to OSHA's Injury Tracking Application (ITA) website. Under this new rule, employers in designated industries with over 100 employees must annually submit Form 300 and Form 301, in addition to Form 300A, using OSHA's ITA. This webcast will provide information on which industries are affected by the new rule and who must submit Form 300 and Form 301. It will cover the industries impacted by the initial rule, the submission requirements, the submission process, and the deadline for submissions. We will explain what industries are impacted by the initial rule, what needs to be submitted, how to submit, and the deadline for submissions. We will also briefly review how OSHA is using this data to make workplaces safer for all employees.
